Exchange Server not accessible from outside network

I have an exchange 2007 Server (w/SP1).  I can't figure out why, but outlook clients cannot connect to the exchange server from outside of our network.  We are able to access OWA without a problem from outside the network.  And we currently use a VPN to connect via outlook from outside the network.  I have setup the following A Records:
@
autodiscover
mail.domain.com
mail

On my router, I have ports 80, 25 and 443 forwarding to the exchange server's IP.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I thought I was using rpc over http.  In my exchange account settings in outlook, under 'exchange proxy settings' I have the public IP which forwards to the exchange server in the box that says 'use this url to connect to my proxy server for exchange'.
I double checked the RPC setting in the outlook client and didn't have IE or 3rd party dialer selected.  The point of this is to eliminate the need for the VPN.
Thanks for your input
