Good remote admin tools for connecting from outside user's domain?

Hello - I'm a freelance developer (Microsoft Access, but growing into ASP.NET), and I find myself needing to remote-control user desktops where I'm not "on-site" (not logged on to their network; working from home, connected via ADSL to my own ISP). This is to handle problem calls, where the user is saying they can't do this or that; nothing evil, FWIW.

I've just been given a tool called "DameWare" by one client, so I can support users at their satellite locations, when I'm on-site at their headquarters. But I'm assuming I can't go outside their domain with it.

Is there something (legal) that will let me peek onto a user workstation from outside their domain? Or is that just fundamentally verbotten?

Thanks

Mark

Thank you all, I think aplus's suggestion will work the best for me, as TeamViewer claims to be able to work through firewalls, and the other suggestions involve installations that might not be allowed, given a client's lock-down policy in effect
