Enabling PPTP locks out users with 1 LAN card

I used this article http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-10878-0.html?forumID=3&threadID=178488&messageID=2438623  to allow a Windows 2003 Server to also be a PPTP server. However, after I do these steps users on the LAN cannot connect to the server anymore. I need our LAN users to still be able to connect and I only have one interface. Adding a second interface is not an option. Can someone very experienced that has been able to solve this issue provide me the steps I need to do (or change) to allow both on the same interface? We also need this to allow a secure file replication system for our barcode generator, which runs on many servers.

Is your goal here to be a PPTP VPN server for clients on the outside only?  That article is for setting up the server so internal clients access the Internet through it.  Before we go any futher, is that what you want to do?

I need to have a PPTP server for two purposes, for our internal server, as a VPN to authenticate users through our PPTP pass-through on our router, and for our external servers to securely map a drive so we do not have to FTP or use Secure FTP, we are looking for ease of use and security. In all situations, we are dealing with 1 LAN card.

http://www.lan-2-wan.com/vpns-RRAS-1nic.htm worked, however, now when I connect to the PPTP server, I no longer have access to my local subnet :(    I cannot set static routes of subnet IPs on RRAS because when we connect to the server, we are all on different subnets.  Any other ideas?
