Threats show in Symantec system center console after being cleaned

Hi all here's what's happening:

We are running Norton antivirus 10.0.1.1000, my PC is the server.  I recently found some threats come up on a few machines.  For example, the trojan downloader showed up in the content.ie5 directory of a few.  The machine is cleaned, and I delete all the files under content ie5, run a new scan and clear the threat, but then the same machines keep comming up as having a threat in the console.  I recheck the machines and they still come up as clean.  Moreover, when I try to view the threat log from the console under all tasks/symantec antivirus/logs/threat history, it does not list any threats at all.

Can anyone tell me if the pcs would list as having threats if the threat has actually been cleaned, or should I suspect that something is really wrong?

Thanks for any advice,

Maureen

Thanks, I actually have been using ccleaner along with deleting the files under content.ie5 in user directories.  I found a script here that works great for that.

Thanks for the info, one less thing to worry too much about.
