How to Extract a zip file contents using windows xp / 2003 built in extraction command

Im wondering what the command line (or name of the utility) is for extracting zip files through the command line.. Id rather not use winzip / pkware etc as it is an extra cost for licensing especially when the functionality is already built into the OS.

A quick search on this site relates to a DLL file.  but is there a commandline option for the extraction of .zip files.

so i could probably create a little program which uses the dll to do the extraction?

I agree with fifthelement. There are freeware command-line driven apps out there already. Why re-create something that already exists?
