synctoy 2 does not work if not logged on

i want to back up employees "My Documents" to server shared folder. Synctoy 2 runs fine with task schedule as long as you are logged on because if you are logged on then mapped network drive which is the server shared folder is connected and thefore it works.
if user is logged off, Synctoy Task Schedule still runs but synctoy does not back up anything to the server shared folder because once you are logged off the mapped network drive is disconnected. am i right on this?
how do i make sure mapped network drive is still connected even logging off or is it possible at all?

Rather than using a mapped drive, use a UNC path such as:
\\Server1\ShareName\Backup

However, that may not be the issue. I am not familiar with that application. Can it be run as a service? Many do not have that option, but it is necessary, if it is to run when logged off. If it is already set up as such, you will see a related name in the services management console.

If it cannot be run as a service, you may be able to do so using one of the Microsoft tools; Srvany and Instsrv, which are designed to allow you to run an application as a service.

ASKER

synctoy is run as service, it runs perfectly ok if sync folders are on local hard drives when logged off.

i don't think i can specify UNC path in Synctoy.
