How Setup Exchange 2003 to allow my Linux server to relay through it

Hi All

I have an exchange server that is the main email server of my network, I do have a linux server that I need to send emails from.

I have setup the exchange server as the smarthost of the linux server, they are on the same LAN. However I am getting a relay error as expected because I have disabled unauthorized relay.

Can I add the IP of my Linux server to the clients allowed to send or should I enable authentication between the two servers ?

I am using postfix on debian and Exchange 2003 on Win 2003

thx
