Using the German Eszett ß character within Flash dynamic text

Hi Experts,

Does anyone know how to display the  ß character within a Flash dynamic text field?

I am pulling the text in from an xml file. I have embedded the font and typed a ß into the 'include these characters' and have also typed a ß into the text filed to make sure the font set includes this character.

I have tried replacing the ß with ß but that doesn't work either?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes it's the same text field. I don't quite understand you when you say alt+0223 on the keyboard.

Ah! It appears to be a Mac issue.

When I hold down the alt key and type 0223 I get 0223 on the mac, so I have just tried exporting the swf from a PC and the characters appear.

Thanks for your help on this. Probably would still be scratching my head!
ahh well i'm glad you've mentioned that it was a mac issue too - i'll look out for the same issue in future when i'm testing alternate characters (especially mathematical ones) on macs.

Best wishes
Neil
