How do i Shutdown SAP R/3 and restart it?

Hello Guys
I am having problems with my backup utility to integrate with my SAP r/3 oracle in 64 bit. It is not supported.
I do not have enough free space in disk to perform a brtool backup, i need to backup the data base and sap files.
I am really newbie in sap and i don´t know how to perform a script to shut down SAP and Databases to perform a backup to tape using my third vendor utility.

Of course i need another script to start the sap after backup completes.
Also, i need to know which folders I should copy.

Thanks in advanced.

bhanukir7: Certainly that's the best option, however I don´t have enough space for a dump that´s why  i am taking a chance and shut and restart Sap and Oracle.

Thanks schwertner:
