Do I need to SLipstream over WSUS updates?

I have a WSUS server in my network that pushes all updates out to my network, I have been told by someone that I still need to slipstream updates, because if I make a change in windows and windows overwirties an update with its onboard copy of the file from i386, I will have old version of files. Does WSUS take this into account and do I need to go back to rerunning services paks if I ever add or change a windows component that comes from I386?

Nonsense.

As long as the client pulls updates from your WSUS - AND - the WSUS server has all the proper updates and service packs approved, then the client will sort out the logistics.

Netman66, thanks for the response, by any chance do you have any links to an MS KB or anything lese I can use to blseter my case, I have a feeling that I will require documentation to show that just using WSUS is a viable option, as opposed to going with this slipstreaming requirement that has been raised in my organization.
