Remove characters from string

Each record in Column A of Table A has a string of characters I want to remove. In this case it is a series of 3 o* 4 '@' signs.

Ex: I'd like to run through the table and change:
"ABC@@@@12345678" > "ABC12345678".

Pls help... thanks.

declare @x varchar(100)
set @x = 'ABC@@@@1234567'

set @x = replace(@x, '@', '')

Just so someone doesn't have to go look up the syntax:

update TableA
set ColumnA = replace(ColumnA,'@','')
