Configuring RPC over HTTP on Exchange Cluster

I have an Exchange 2003 Cluster running..  This is the only Exchange  Server, no Front-End Back-End scenario....  But I have MIMESWEEPER from ClearSwift for Relaying Messages From / To   my Exchange..
OWA Users are directly connecting to the Exchange Virtual IP ( ( Natted )  from outside with out any problem.

Now I have to configure RPC over HTTP ,  no need of HTTPS now ..

I did a good search and confused a bit...  I read that you cant configure RPC over HTTP on a Cluster .. Is that true? .. If yes, what would be solution? . .If that is not true, where to start?

My OS is Windows 2003 Enterprize , on HP BL 45 Blades ...
Approximately 1000 Users.

Many places I have seen comments that, " If your back-end servers are clustered, you cannot designate them as RPC proxy servers. You must designate a separate server as the RPC proxy server."  ...  Is it 100 % true?
I always deploy a frontend server with a cluster as a matter of default, so that would be the first thing I would suggest to you - certainly with 1000 users.

The problem is,  I am in a position which I can not put a Front-End Server..  I will do that as a worst case scenario , if there is a work around which I can do on my CLUSTER, that would be really helpful ...

Dear Simon, I just wanna know whether it is IMPOSSIBLE to configure RPC over HTTP on CLUSTER or not .. Then I can think of other solutions like adding a Front-end ...

Thanks
Manu
If you are going to run even half of those users on RPC over HTTPS then you will need a frontend server. As for whether it is impossible, I wouldn't know because I always deploy a frontend server with a cluster. It is part of the deployment, not an optional component - you want a cluster this is what it needs - and it includes a frontend.

Ok Simon, I accept your recommendation ... Since I already have running Cluster , can I install new Exchange Server in another Server and during the installation, make it Front-end ?..  I guess I can,  My question is , then what will happen to Webaccess users , what are all should I take care before doing this?   ... .   If  I had deployed it from the beginning, I could have followed MS docs .... But, in this scenario, I would be happy to hear your suggessions ...

By the way, In some other threads, I had given incorrect answers, In fact, I am also in learning process .. Sorry mate..
