External CSS file causes some visited links on same page to change color but not others in Visual Studio 2005

Hello,

I have created an external style sheet to change the colors and appearance of links on numerous pages throughout a web site developed in Visual Studio 2005 using C#.NET. Of the many pages referring to the style sheet, only ONE behaves abnormally.

On this one page, 3 of the links behave normally but the other 8 in the same table do not. The abnormal links do not show they have been visited and remain the original unvisted link color.  Even after refreshing the browser. This behavior is consistant on 3 different machines. They do have the expected CSS behavior for link color, hover and active (code below)

How do I make all the links on the page behave according to the external CSS file's visited code?

Thanks
a:link {
	font-weight: bold;
	text-decoration: none;
	color: #00cccc;
	}
a:visited {
	font-weight: bold;
	text-decoration: none;
	color: #cc0099;}

a:hover, a:active
	{
	text-decoration: underline;
	color: #00cc33;

1 - Consider udisng "DebugBar" from Core services at http://www.debugbar.com/ as en extension to Internet Explorer.
This will allow you to track details of what is happening exactly out of your css and its use.

2 - Note sure of the real impact: consider splitting the last def as
a:hover
      {
      text-decoration: underline;
      color: #00cc33;
                 }
a:active
      {
      text-decoration: underline;
      color: #00cc33;
                 }
just to be 100% sure to comply with what is said in page http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_pseudo_classes.asp at "Anchor Pseudo-classes"

ASKER

I had the list as link buttons but when I changed all the links to hyperlinks, the CSS code worked correctly. Does anyone know why?
- Using text and css, everything works as expected
- but not with "link buttons"

What exactly do you call "link buttons"? Could you give us the html code that was implementing them?
