Exchange Server Backup to help clear log files in MDBDATA folder
My MDBDATA folder is around 150 GIG and i need to clear old log files immediately. So in order to do this i run the windows server Backup, once backup is complete will this autmatically clear all the old logs from the MDBDATA folder?:
You will need to run a full or incremental backup to clear the logs. Are you running regular backups?

I dont run regular backups, however i have just completed the full backup of the Information Store (Exchange) and the MDBDATA folder has not decreased in size at all, does anyone know why the logs havent been cleared?
Best practice is to keep logs and data on separate drives (or folders). You can check to see if this is the case by looking at the Storage Group properties (this is where your logs will be) and the Mailbox Store properties.
You also might have circular logging enabled (which means your backups will have no effect on TL size).
The EDB and STM files won't reduce in size unless you use an off-line deframent (using eseutil /d).
