Recommend a good FTP client

Hey, I'm trying to find a good Windows FTP client... I am a webmaster and regularly FTP clients to a server, so I need a couple of key features:

1. Good interface (seems obvious, right?)

2. Ability to set a preference to skip files based on filename pattern matching (like CVS folders, .svn files, etc) so when I drag-and-drop entire folders up to the server those files don't get uploaded.

I'd love something that could also intelligently sync with a remote folder-- like, just one folder. I tried setting this up with Cute FTP and it was a total nightmare... terrible interface, kept syncing my CVS folder, kept halting the transfer to ask how to handle filetypes that it didn't recognize, etc. A huge hassle to set up on a folder-by-folder basis. (I'd love a simple one-click drag-and-drop folder sync!)

I'm currently using WS_FTP and it's pretty lousy for my needs. The interface always comes back to a blank screen and when I connect, it always puts the windows in stupid places and I have to rearrange them... why the heck can't it remember my layout? Also, it won't skip files so I am always sending up svn files that I have to delete later. Uber-annoying.

It just seems like every FTP client has never been used by people doing web development :-)

Any suggestions?

thanks
E
