Setting up a secure Windows Network

I am a newbie in this area as my area of specialization is different but I have been tasked to do this:

Need to setup a network domain consisting of 6 servers (all running Win 2003 Adv Server) and 5 user computers (running XP Pro).  The servers are all in a rack, all connected to each other with a Linksys 8 Port VPN Router at the moment (we are awaiting delivery of ASA5500 Firewall, CISCO 3750 Series Switch, and Cisco 2800 Series integrated router) but want to get started in the mean time using the spare Linksys router.

Plugged through the router, the servers can see each other now.  I want to pick an internal network range of 192.162.6.XXX.

I dont know where to get started and how to get about finishing this.  I have already designated one server as the DNS server.

Thanks very much ngravatt.  We now have received the router/firewall/switch that are part of the original spec and am working on them
