How to change OWA domain name in exchange 2003?

We are changing our company name from to Hence I need to change our mail server host name to

I tried to change website name on front end server, replaced certificate & changed owalogon.asp file to reflact the changes on front end exchange server. Now, I am getting logon screen without any errors but when I give my username & password, it gives "You have not set default page for this website" error.

When I change it back to original, everything works fine. Can some one please guide me through process of changing the domain name successfully.

The easiest way to do so would be to add a second domain-name to your exchange and than use that one as primary. In IIS you would change your website to listen to incoming request from the new domain
Have you got a host header set?If so you need to remove that. Exchange itself doesn't really care what the URL is used for the server, so it is something outside of Exchange that is causing the problem.

How do I check whether host header is set or not? I hope it is in website property of IIS on front end server. I am able to see OWA logon screen (including https redirection) on new domain name but not mail boxes after logon.

Hi Sambee,

I did not need to remove the host header. However, I did not created alias website on any of the backend servers & that was dropping mail box access after logon.

Your answer gave me that hint.

Thanks alot.
