How do I manage multiple sender addresses with Outlook/Exchange 2007

Hi,

we are using Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007. We have multiple domains and would like to enable our employees to decide on sent which domain and e-mail signature should be used for an individual e-mail.

Is there a solution? Out-of-the-box? 3rd party tool?

Thanks
John

Hi, you can do what you want just by using the tools from the Exchange server.
After you configure the multiple domains in your exchange you only need to activate in the outlook the From field, the thefault smtp that you configured will always be the predefined but if they have other emails accounts they only need to insert in the from field example.

My default email address is :
nfmartins@contoso.com  but I also have other emails address like nfmartins@portugal.contoso.com

When I want to send a e-mail from the nfmartins@portugal.contoso.com I type in the from address this e-mail.

About the signatures you must use Transport Rules that is a new feature in exchange 2007
To know more about this subject please take a look to :

Hope this post will help you.

Thanks for the note,

Is there any way to avoid to manual type the sender's smtp-address? I would like the feature similar to the standard Outlook multiple account feature, which gives me a drop-down list and automatically changes the signature.

Thanks,
John
