Fedora Core 2 Linux Question

I have very little experience utilizing Linux (NEWBIE ALERT). Is it possible to mount a drive from a device that has been attached to a Fedora Core 2 box onto a box that is running a more modern version of the OS in order to salvage the data? We may have a disgruntled former employee who may have gained access to the box and changed all the passwords (FTP, root, etc.)

Thanks! One addtional question - Is it possible to retrieve the assets from the drive using a Windoze box?
Thank you for the points.

Yes definitely. You can use a ext3 explorer like explore2fs to run on your windows and then look at the ext3 drives in the same computer. You can copy data back to your windows drives.
Awesome, Thanks!
