Outlook: Unable to receive some email with a PDF attachments.

i am having problems receiving some messages with attachments. 2 users have sent me attachments from different companies. The attachments are PDF Files totalling to less than 1MB. The messages bounce back to the sender saying "This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full". after checking everything and asked a friend to send me an email with attachment, and everything went ok(the attachment was an mp3 file 4mb).

What smtp provider are you using?

i think we are using our own server. MS exchange 2003.

our server is not set to block pdf. I'll gather more info, if my case is isolated here in our company.

hi. sorry if i could not get back to this question. was on field assignment. anyway, It seems that am the only one having this issue. i have checked my mailbox limit and its using the default set in our server which is something like 10mb. any ideas? thanks.
Does this happen internally aswell or is it just when they try to send from an external address?
amcurso, if you are the only person having this problem, create a new user profile. The old on is corrupt.

garethh86 - It doesnt happen internally. Just external.
war1 - am not comfortable with the idea but i definitely put it into consideration.
