Delete the value form table which is not specified in the list

I made an application which synchronizes two servers (more like replication).

When a change happens on the main server all I get is current values. For example the main server has groups and users. When a user is deleted/removed from a group the update I receive is the list of current users in the group but not the information of the user deleted.

So I need to delete the user who is not in the list. I can do it in my program by building a long SQL query with != operators. But was wondering if there is any efficient way(I mean a direct SQL statement) to do this.

I am using mysql5
