VPN Error 800 on SBS 2003

Hi all,

I have recently just started getting vpn 800 errors when trying to connect to our server.  Its running sbs 2003 sp2.  I have tried running the sbs remote connection wizard to allow vpn's and it runs successfully.  But when the vpn attempts to connect i get the same vpn 800 error.  I have tried making a connection internally (behind router/firewall) and i get the same error.  So to me its the internal vpn server not working.

I need to get this fixed asap.  What can i do?

Did you use the external IP or the internal? Try creating a manual connection, not using the SBS client, to the LAN IP and see if it works from behind the router. If not familiar with the manual process, see:

Is there possibly a firewall blocking this connection or Anti-Virus software installed?

I have tried using the built in vpn client within windows and no luck connecting to the internal address of the server ie "SERVER" or 192.168.30.10 etc.

- Doesnt work internally either.  So not the router.  It did work to begin with but all of a sudden stopped working.  Maybe antivirus but that was and has been installed since the start.  Using Symantec Corporate edition 10.2.

**More info**

Couldnt get vpn to work still, but after a restart client computers could not connect or ping server, but server could ping client machines.  I disabled routing and remote access service and bang, all was ok except for vpn problem.  There is definitely a problem with routing and remote access.  Bere in mind that no changes were made to vpn settings before problem occurred.  Any way to remove routing and remote access and reinstall in SBS 2003 as i think there is some sort of corruption has occurred with RRAS?
