Failed install of SP1 Event ID error 4374 Source NtservicePack
Hi All
I have tried to install SP1for server 2003 and it keeps failing, this is a manual install downloaded to the root of C. I get the following error in the event log

The box also has oracle installed and Epolicy Orchestrator agent which has macfee VirusScan,Spyware and Autoupdate included with it. I dont feel that these products are causing the problem but thought i should included them, as you never know.
I will attach the svcpack.log file as well

i have domain admins, i will disable antivirus and all other apps, and let you know how i get on.

I started the server in safe mode logged in as local admin, and ran the install? it appears to be hanging and not really doing much :( oh dear

Administrator, Enterprise Administrator, Schema Admin, etc etc
You should disable all background running programs prior to installing any service pack, especially anti virus programs. Please try again with all of these disabled, can't see anything obvious in the log though.
