2000 domain controller will not resolve IP URL to NAS while other desktops and domain controllers can

I have a 2000 domain controller which I am attempting to install a NAS for disk to disk backups using Veritas. The NAS is fully setup but for some reason when I try to connect to the NAS from an IP URL I get an error "remote computer is not available". When I try to access the NAS from a web browser on the same machine it resolves the device to the managment console. When I try to resolve the IP URL from other desktops or domain controllers on the LAN / WAN it works just fine, just not  from this specific 2k conroller.

I'd check the "LMCompatibility" level on the server where you're having the problem and compare it to the other PCs where it's working.

Run SECPOL.MSC, and drill down to: Policies, Security Options, "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level"
