1100 access point connected to Cisco ASA is slow

I have just installed a new ASA Cisco device.  It is connected to a 2MB Leased line to the internet no contention.

On the inside interface I have connected a switch what has a Cisco 1100 Access point.  This is all that is connected.  As there is no DHCP on this when I connect a laptop to to the wifi access point I then must manually configure the IP settings on the laptop.  This works ok, however the problem if the internet access is very slow and sometimes even times out.  The wifi signal is strong and with a max of 4 laptops connected is reading that it is connected at approx 16-18 mb.  Even with only one laptop connected it is quite slow.

run a tracert from the laptop to a website that is loading slow and look to see where the latency starts.

Will give it a go - just heading to a meeting, may be tomorrow morning before I get to it.

I have tried to trace but I only get the astrix, note however when I attach the laptop via wired connection, I dont seem to have the problems that I have via the AP
