Printers propagate randomly

We hae a LAN and several printers need to be shared out. This is good for users with PCs that need to use these printers. But, the shared printers will also randomly show up in other PCs Printers and Faxes. Since, I am unable to see the print driver to allow so many shares, there seems no way to stop this. But, it would seem there must be. Is there any setting in SBS that would allow me to control this? Or any other way?

Thanks.

b0lsc0tt,

That's awesome. I can't even guess how many times I have been to that window to change the options to "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types."

If you uncheck it though, will it make the shared folders on the server not show up at the first screen in My Network Places?
Your welcome!  <side note> Personally I hate that option and always disable it. </side note>  You may see a few shared folders disappear.  However these would not be folders you have mapped to and should not be ones you commonly use.  It will just be folders that are shared and auto setup.  In other words XP will leave the ones you use and setup but not setup others automatically just because they are there.  Let me know if you have a question about this.

I'm glad that helped.  Thanks for the grade, the points and the fun question.

Nope, that explains it. I appreciate all your help.
