Yes, it works just fine. To open the program, locate the Winchat application in the Windows\System32 directory or open the Run command and type in Winchat. The Chat interface will open. Click the Dial button to call another users computer. Type in the name of the computer you want to chat with or select a computer from the list. Once the remote user agrees to connect with your computer, you can begin your chat session.

Hi there, Thanks for that info but I have tried this with no luck. Messenger service is running, Network DDE and Network DDE DSDM is also running but when I call any computer on my network I get the other computer did not respond. All machines running XP. I have also tried opening winchat on one of the other computers before i call it and walked over to see if its actually calling and nothing. Tried calling mine and the same result. I've had it working on w2k machines but since we have upgraded to XP it does not work. Any suggestions will be grately appreciated. Thanks
Sheldon
