Transfer AD between domain controllers

Hello, my scenario is very simple:
1. win 2000 domain
2. i want to add to the domain a new server running win 2003 sbs
3. i want AD to be transfered from the old server onto the new one
4. i still want to use the old server for e-mails but i dont' want to be a domain controller anymore
What is the best way to do this?

Basicaly i tried to add the new server to the domain as a new domain controller ad replicate active directory on it. Also i transferred all the roles (like master schema, etc) to the win 2003 sbs. It all worked ok until i decided to shut down the old server to see if the new one can do the job. Thats when thinks started to go wrong. Now i cannot remove active directory from any of the servers. All i want now is to recreate from scratch active directory onto the new server (i only have 16 users to recrate). I will be running e-mails from the old one (i a using M-Deamon for e-mails).
