windows 2003 DNS server will not update website ip address after change( website is hosted by 3rd party)

DNS server points to outside web address but still uses itself for email.... I recently changed Hosting company's and cannot get what apears to be cached DNS records to update to the new hosting.

the Server itself gets the new ip, but thru DNS( is is a DC) the clients attached to it get the old ip from a previous hosting company..

I goin in circles and would appreciate a little advice.

are we talking about the client PC's using DHCP to set DNS addresses?

or the DNS forwarders to pass on the lookups from?

forwarders...
currently a client machine(worlkstation) will connect to www.mycompany.com(old host  x.x.x.1)
its server tho connects to www.mycompany.com(new host x.x.x.2)

I can not find a reference in the DNSMGMT console to the old host..
where might I find a cahed record of the old host?

thanks!
