Type mstsc.exe in the run box and let me know if it opens a RDP session. Then we can just creat a shortcut from system32.

Sorry, my first try at a question after sponging answers for two years as premium member and I didn't even read it correctly. What are you trying to do with RasMan? Did you recently install anything? Are you using admin account? Do you have an event ID?
well this all started when I tried to dcpromo an old DC and it fails at stopping NETLOGON. Doing research I found that remote access connection manager may have something to do with it . its stopped in services and when I try to start I get the error modules missing. All Im really triing to do is dcpromo the old 2003 dc server so that the new 2008 server can be fully functional. On the 2008 Iv set up all the roles ADDC,DNS,DHCP,moved the global catolog and the FSMO roles, I just need to DCPROMO the old machine 2003
