the dynamic link library OCIW32.dll could not be found in specified path

I'm getting the  below error message when attempting to access the application. The database the application is using is Oracle 10G client.

The error message is "the dynamic link library OCIW32.dll could not be found in specified path", then it says "DBMS o73 is not supported in your current installation."  I don't understand.  Can someone help?

This worked fine with Oracle 9i client, and we've recently we've upgraded from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10G Client only. And we're getting this error in Oracle 10G client only.

Are you using your Oracle 10g client to access an Oracle 7.3 database?  If so, I don't think it is supported... in other words, you'll have to stay with your Oracle 9i client to get to that database.

I'm using Oracle 10g client to access an Oracle 9i database server. But the error  "DBMS o73 is not supported in your current installation."  is what is I don't understand. Do ineed to add the Dll - OCIW32.dll  in system path of environment variables or something.

Found this on another website (here -- http://www.dc18.org/info/kics/kicsfaq2.doc ):

Whoever works on your network security needs to go to the oracle folder on your server.  Within that file there should be an ora92 (or ora90) folder.  The permissions are set on that ora92 folder, so your tech will need to know the specific computer name of the person's computer to receive remote access.  In our example (shown right) the name is DCTC47908.  Adding computer name\user is key. Once the user is added, security can be set to allow read & execute, list folder contents, and read permissions, or whatever access you prefer to give to your server.
