Outlook 2007 Connection problem using Vista and Cisco VPN

I have a Windows Vista Business laptop running Outlook 2007 and Cisco VPN Client 5.0.00.0340. The VPN works ok, I can connect to the file server, I can ping the Exchange server but Outlook always stays at disconnected.
