Any way to use Wake On LAN across disparate networks using management software?

We are looking for a way to combine a patch management solution with a Wake On LAN implementation for our mixed environment of 200+ corporate LAN PCs and 500+ "far-flung" PCs at different internet-enabled locations.  There is no IPsec or VPN connectivity between the home network and/or the remotes.

BigFix claims they can do this with "relay agents" handling sending out the magic packet to the other PCs on their subnets.  LANDesk claims this is impossible.

Is anyone doing something like this?  If so, what solution are you using?

Thanks in advance.

Two years late response but another excellent product to consider is Faronics Core. On it's own, it is free and offers WOL relaying. But the real power is its add-ons called Loadins such as Power Save (for advanced power management and analysis), Deep Freeze and Anti-Executable (for security), etc.
