Unable to uninstall/reinstall IIS on Windows XP SP2

Hi, please help me. My IIS seems to be corrupted and I'm unable to uninstall or reinstall it.

I'm using windows XP professional with SP2. In my add/remove files, windows component wizard, the "world wide web service" is checked. If I uncheck it and try to remove it, it will progress and after the progress bar runs half way, it pops up a message box saying "file copy operation were canceled. setup cannot continue". At this step, the word above the progress bar says "Deleting files". If I click "OK" to close the messagebox, the whole window will close.

I've searched for all websites with this message but none of them helped.

Please help. Is there any way to forcibly remove or repair or reinstall the IIS?
