Run Chkdsk w/o Reboot?

Hi Experts,
I am trying to be a little more professional when I do a a weekly full backup of my hard drive and incremental backups the other days.  My backup software Acronis True Image Home 11. It allows me to execute a command before and after the backup.

I would like to run "CHKDSK C: /F /R" before I do my weekly backup of my C: drive within Acronis Backup.  Is there a way to run "CHKDSK.EXE C: /F /R" without forcing a reboot?

My OS is WinXP Pro SP2.

Thanks much.
