Cyclic Redundancy Check error when installing XP

Hi, when i go to install XP i get the cyclic redundancy check error everytime. I've tested the memory(RAM)  and i know it's not the disc or cd drive because i've tried several of each. Also, my hard drive is fairly old and low capacity (30GB). Help on this error would be great.

I would think you need to try a different hdd as you have mentioned it is fairly old.  It may have a bad sector or two.
