Server authenticates PPTP using windows credentials

We have a Watchguard firbox FBX1000 and behind that a domain using windows server 2003. I have just noticed that our PPTP users are being authenticated with the local Windows domain credentials.  What I mean is that if a user after logging onto their windows account and then manually connects the pptp connection using blank user name and password then the event viewer on our server says that they have successfully logged on with the windows domain credentials.

Is this by design or a security flaw in our security

If the watch guard is simply passing port 1723 on to an internal windows routing and remote access server then yes.

Hi plug1,

I can confirm that this is the case.  Can you suggest how to change this ?

FOrgot to add:

This was not the case when the FB was on V9.1 software and using port 1723.
I think the upgrade to v10 may have something to do with this.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
