File Catalogue

I have a program Called WhereIsIt, but it has no support and I have had too many problems to want to keeep it.
If there is a suggestion for a program that will allow me to search through my 10,000 Pictures ( Made with Photoshop CS3 Extended and they are psd). I would like to try it.
Need to at least search by file name; or part of a file name; or ONLY park of a file name.
The Pictures are on an external hard drive and also on DVD. I am still finding pictures that are duplicate and need to be replaced. With WhereIsIt that means updating the catalogue, before any more searches are done. Problem is when a new search is made, it still shows the old results.

It can be a problem using third party programs to search for psd files. Starting with the CS series, Adobe stopped generating thumbnails of images that could be viewed by browsers. They delegated this task to Adobe Bridge which generates its own thumbnails.

You might find bridge up to the searching task that you are looking for.

Here is a link to an Adobe Video that tells how to use the search and collection features of Bridge:

WhereIsIt has no problem with adobe thumnails.
As far as I can tell Bridge has only 4 items that can be entered and no items that can be avoided or masked.
My searches often return several hundred results.

Sorry about that.

I'll ask around and see if anyone I know is using something different that might do the trick.

I will look, but I have bought pixfiler and I am hoping to get it running with help from their support.

I have Pixfiler running, thanks to their support. It looks like a great program. Thank you for all your help.
