Cannot add a local intranet site
I am trying to open an access database from a networked drive and I recieve the message, "Microsoft Access cannot open this file. This file is located outside your intranet or on an unrestricted site. Microsoft Access will not open the file due to potential security problems."
I am trying to add my domain to my trusted web sites per recommendation of microsoft. When I try to add my domain or any other domain name to my trusted sites I receive the message " There was an unexpected error with your zone settings. Unable to add this zone." I have administrative permissions and am able to add sites on other accounts but not with this particular account. If there is another way to be able to open my Access file without adding my local domain to trusted sites then I am open to suggestions.

ASKER
I have tried those steps already. I was going to post that article in my original question but I couldn't find the link back. Any other ideas?
