I am booting a windows 2000 pc with a clonezilla live cd.  It tells me it needs to mount the drive.  At a prompt in what I think is the bash shell, I type the command to mount the hard drive.

It then tells me I must login to mount.  I try to login by typing "login" and it tells me the following:
"must exec "login" at lowest level "sh" "
I have tried various things including exec login but nothing works.
I am hoping this is something simple I just don't know because I'm a linux newb.
I am going through the man pages.   searching the web I found something about deleting utmp files.

Can anybody give me a hint, or point me to a clearly written guide?
I really need to clone and we can't afford the commercial stuff.

thanks alot,

Maureen
