open from favorites, cursor stays up in address bar? IE7

When I use "Favorites" to load a page, the cursor stays up in the address bar.  Some of these pages are login pages that put the cursor into the "Enter ID" field on page load.  It works fine if I paste the URL into the address bar, but not when I try and get there from the Favorites menu.

From the favorites memu/address bar: I tried tabbing into the page, and first have to tab through the controls at the top (undesirable), then when I get to the page it skips over the field that was supposed to get the focus, acting like I was already there, and tabs straight into the second field.  I can then back-tab (shift-tab) into the right field, or I can tab all the way through the page, through the controls at the top, and on this second pass into the page it will tab into the correct field.

Any suggestions?  The ideal would be to click on a favorite and land in the field with the focus without additional clicks or keys.  Second best would be a hotkey to get from the address bar into the field with the focus.

Thanks for any help-

Thanks for your input b0lsc0tt.  I don't have the favorites pinned, but I do keep the menu bar visible (File, Edit, View, etc.) and I select the link off the favorites menu which closes as soon as I click.

But your post got me to dig out something I hadn't noticed before: if I'm already logged in and I open the login page, everything I described originally now works!  I click the favorite, the page opens, and the cursor is sitting in the "Enter ID" page.  But when I'm not logged in, which is when it matters, I click, the page opens, and the cursor is up in the address bar with the whole url selected.

It's an add-on issue, I just discovered Programs | Accessories | System Tools | IE (without AddOns).

Will let you know which one as soon as I've walked through the list one at a time (probably tomorrow).
Thanks for the update and info.  Good find with the Addons.  Those add an extra complexity to troubleshooting and I often forget about them at the start, especially when it isn't obviously related to one.

Let me know if I can provide anymore info or if you have a question.

By the way ... you may want to focus on any addons that manage a login.
