Microsoft, Active Directory, 2003, C:\DATA folder is moved to My Documents either by QUEST migration tool or group policy as part of folder redirection
We have a bizarre problem:
Some of our legacy Office templates use C:\DATA locally on the workstations to store company logos etc, and now as we found out during the AD migration some of our users have been dumping data in this folder.
A couple of the people I migrated using the QUEST tools yesterday reported this C:\DATA folder was gone, but after a search we found the data in it had been moved to their redirected My Documents folder.
We don't redirect or refer to any folder called C:\DATA so I'm at a loss as to where this is coming from, any clues gratefully received.
