How to replicate the Domain directory of my main server on another "backup" server ?

I have a main directory server running Windows 2003, and for security reasons, I have installed a second server (Windows 2003), and I would like to replicate all the Domain Directory structure on this "backup" server which would be able to replace the first one in case of crash on my actual Main Domain Directory server.

Is the secondary(backup) server promoted to a domain controller yet?

Here you can force AD replication in your AD Sites & Services MMC snap-in: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/2d89f34a-b6db-4b8d-ab9f-c081c53658d61033.mspx?mfr=true

I tried to run DCPROMO commmand, but received this message "The version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of Active Directory on this computer"
What should I do ?

you need to run the adprep /forestprep tools - i take it you are adding an R2 DC to a windows server 2003 Domain?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
