How to Copy Formatting FROM Word TO Powerpoint?

I'm copying Bible verses from a Word document to a Powerpoint presentation.  The verse numbers in Word are superscripted, but when I copy and paste into a text box in a Powerpoint slide, they are no longer superscripts - they are at the same level with the same font as everything else being pasted.  Is there a way to keep that formatting?

I can't seem to recreate your problem but you can try to insert the word doc as a obect in the slide.
That way it should keep all the formatting as it was in ms word

There are things on the Word document I don't need in Powerpoint, so bringing the whole Word file in won't work for me.

Thanks.

All that time I was pasting, I didn't even notice the "paste options" button.  Unfortunately, none of the options are what I want (text only, keep source formatting, keep slide design template formatting).  I want to keep some of the source's formatting, and some of the slide's formatting.  I looked at the demo for this add-in, and it allows you to do exactly that.

Thanks so much!
