Sorry just getting back to this. &nbsp;I ahve setup all I can think of in the pix but I still cannot connect to the server via RDP &nbsp;I Have attached several images with the current config on the pix. &nbsp;What am I missing? &nbsp;I have blacked out the public IPs so they are there on my machine but don't show in the images.<br />

I have a client who has a Cisco Pix 501 and they bought some new software that needs serveral ports open and redirected to their server. &nbsp;For some reason i canot get the GUI interface to open and I do not know how to get into the character interface or what to do once in. &nbsp;any help would be greatly appriciated.<br />

How do you setup port forwarding in character mode?

Cisco PIX is a dedicated hardware firewall appliance; the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) is a firewall and anti-malware security appliance that provides unified threat management and protection the PIX does not. Other Cisco devices and systems include routers, switches, storage networking, wireless and the software and hardware for PIX Firewall Manager (PFM), PIX Device Manager (PDM) and Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM).
