inet error in Mcafee 8

I get this when trying to upload new virus definitions..."error  failed to start inet session"

I need a bit more information please

What exact version of McAfee 8 (Home User or Corporate) ?

What operating system ?


Coporate version running windows server 2003. When I try to upload new sdats updates into the repository I get the error  failed to start inet session.

I am trying to upload to in to EPO

What is the process you are using ?

Why can't you just do a Pull Now from ePO ?

You might also want to try this

Start the McAfee Framework Service on the Distributed Repository server.
Troubleshoot the cause of the CMA malfunction on the distributed repository server:
Confirm the McAfee Framework Service is started
Confirm the Common Management Agent is at the latest version available
Check the agent_<computername>.log for error entries

you were right the username and password were change about a month ago so when I put the new password in I did not go to the top on the page and save it all is good now thank you
