Need help configuring IIS 7

This is a freshly installed copy of Server 2008 running in a virtual machine within my XP Pro host system.

My default website was working fine until today. I installed ftp publishing in IIS 7. Since then my default website won't start. I get event 2268 logged: "Could not laod all ISAPI filters for site'Default Web Site'. Therefore site startup aborted.

I removed FTP Publishing, but the problem still persists. There is only one ISAPI filter listed in IIS. It is ASP.Net_2.0.50727.0. I checked and the DLL file is present in the location specified. So what has gone wrong here.

I found the problem. I had changed the physical path of the site. I changed it back, and it started working again. I've no idea why this would cause event 2268 to be logged though.

Thanks for your input.
