If the emoticons in ebuddy transfer as imagines to word, then they are saved as images. If they transfer from messenger as font [such as :) ] for a smile, then word sees that as text, not a picture (ie, emoticon).<br />

i asked why the emoticons from ebuddy save as pictures in word while emoticons from msn do not show at all, even not as text like :) <br />
<br />
this means word is recognizing the images from ebuddy. this is the contradiction i was trying to get an answer to.<br />
