XD memory card is requiring reformatting

Experts,
I have a 1GB memory card that I have been using in my digital camera for almost 6 months. I have been using it as noramal and when I went to review some of the pictures that are on the camera I am now being prompted to reformat the memory card. This is going to royally suck if I cannot find a work around since there is almost 400 picks on the memory card.
I have purchased a external memory card reader and I get the same result that it wants to reformat the card. Is there any way I can get these pictures back without reformatting the card?????

Thanks for your help!!!!!!

Paul_S01,

You might also try BadCopy Pro (http://www.jufsoft.com/badcopy/) or PhotoRescue (www.datarescue.com - for both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X). Each of these can deal with corrupted graphics files, and help repair the damaged files. I've had my best success with PhotoRescue, although sometimes images can be recovered or fixed in one of these and not the other.

Thanks Chiltrenpc, the filerecovery.com did the trick!
FYI for everyone as well, I just came across a FREE utility that worked on another card that was corrupt. Check out http://www.z-a-recovery.com. Works like a charm!
