Download full website (directory) with user log in

I'd like to download a full site (actully just a directory) that requires user login but in other window. (with a form in a php page, not the typical browser authentification window)

I've tried almost all the programs on market, but I can't make them work to download that simple thing.

I've even tried to "copy" the cookie file from the browser settings window and paste it into the program settings folder but it doesn't seem to work either. I use to get error 303...
How can i fix this?

Why would you want to download the whole site especially the login form? Are you with malicious intent? There are reasons why some websites will not let offline browsers leech their contents, mainly privacy and copyright.

I've already download the content to my local machine.

I shouldn't give any explanations, since any question made on this site could potentially be done with malicious intent, so I find this answer totally off-topic.

Anyway, what i wanted was to download all the university documents, and examples from some given subjects.

And, if you haven't already looked up the HTTP Error 303, you'll find that the 3xx errors are concerned with invalid redirection:

Thanks for the answer Bill, I am already a member of the university, there are many documents ready-to-print I'd like to download, but i would have click on the document, save as, etc... and this like 30 or 40 times per subject, going back to the main page, etc... . i want all in my hadr drive in a single folder... so a good solution would be dowloading everything, and search for .doc /etc... files into the full site i have offline.

I used a cookie from my browser, pasted it into the program and was able to download it all automatically overnight.

Thanks anyway!!

Thanks axtur. Sorry about not being able to elaborate too much, but we're kind of caught in an ethical situation here where some content in a google search may give others the idea that it's a site that condones certain activities that may be looked on rather dimly by some of the corporate clients, possibly even university IT managers :-)

I do kow what you mean about how wasteful of time it can be going back and forwards through links, and waiting for pages to load, when all you want is access to study materials that in the end you are probably paying for anyway.  I once started a correspondence course that required Macromedia Authorware to view the interactive content, and it was so slow I gave up on it.

The only program I've ever used to grab sites and store them locally is the one I quoted, and I've only done it a few times on non password protected websites.  In those cases I burned them to CD for future reference in case the sites disappeared.

I'm glad you got the files you needed and pass with Honours :-)
